Flipio lets you turn PDFs and pages into online flipbooks. This policy explains what information we collect when you use flipio.online, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account details: your email address and a hashed (not readable) password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from that service.
- Content you create: the books, pages, images, music, folders and settings you upload or create, and whether each book is public or private.
- Usage and technical data: a sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in, and standard server logs such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, used to run and secure the service.
How we use it
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content for advertising.
- To provide the service: sign you in, store and display your books, and let readers open the books you publish.
- To keep the service safe: prevent abuse, investigate problems and fix bugs.
- To contact you about your account, such as security notices or changes to these policies.
What other people can see
Books you mark as public, and the public profile page that lists them, can be seen by anyone with the link or by browsing the Explore page. Private books are only available to you, but note that files stored for a book are served from a web address that is hard to guess rather than protected by a password, so do not upload highly sensitive documents.
Service providers we rely on
These providers process data on our behalf or at your request. We share only what is needed for them to do their job.
- Alibaba Cloud Object Storage (Singapore) stores the files you upload.
- Google, if you choose to sign in with it, under its own privacy policy.
- PayPal, if paid plans become available, processes payments. We never see or store your card number.
Cookies
We use a first-party cookie that keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If you sign in with Google, it may set its own cookies.
How long we keep data
We keep your account and content until you delete them or ask us to delete your account. Books you delete are removed from your account and from public pages; backups may keep copies for a limited time before they are overwritten.
Your choices
- You can edit your profile, change your password, and delete books in your user center.
- You can ask us to give you a copy of your data or to delete your account by contacting us.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, such as the right to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us and we will help.
Security
Passwords are stored in hashed form and the site is served over HTTPS. No online service is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Children
Flipio is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you by email or on the site.
